CADAAD 2024 will take place in Collegium Heliodori, the Faculty of English building of the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań.

The venue is located in the city centre, within walking distance from the main railway station, numerous hotels, restaurants and cafes.

Travelling to poznań

The Poznań Airport offers direct connections to major European cities, including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Paris and Tel Aviv.

The airport is only a short drive away from the city centre. Bus lines 159, 148 and the 222 night line connect the airport directly to the conference venue and the city centre. For information about tickets and schedules, please visit the Poznan Airport website.

By train, Poznań Main Station (Poznań Główny) can be reached directly from Berlin Main Station, as well as from major Polish cities such as Warsaw, Gdańsk and Kraków. For tickets, please visit PKP Intercity or Trainline.

Staying in Poznań

Poznań is a vibrant, youthful and historical city in western Poland. With its famous inclusiveness, Poznań is certain to be a welcoming host to visitors of all cultures, identities and abilities. When visiting during the hot Poznań summer, conference participants would be remiss not to enjoy a walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town, a visit to the “birthplace of Poland” in Ostrów Tumski, or a cold drink at one of the city’s many cafes, bars and restaurants with outdoor seating.

The centre of Poznań is highly walkable and condensed, making it ideal for exploring on-foot. The city is serviced by a network of tram and bus lines. Tickets may be purchased at automated kiosks located at some tram and bus stops, at customer service points or via smartphones apps (we recommend zbiletem, moBiLET or jakdojade). For information on public transport schedules, we recommend Google Maps, which offers route planning and live tracking.

The local currency is the Polish złoty (PLN; zł). As of February 23rd, 1 EUR = 4.33 PLN; 1 GBP = 5.07 PLN; 1 USD = 4.00 PLN. While the Euro may be accepted by local businesses, please note that the exchange rate might be unfavourable.

The conference venue uses the university eduroam wifi network. 5G networks are also available throughout the city, but please note that additional charges may apply to visitors from outside the European Union.
